Days old oil in the carpet-how to fix?

I spilled oil on the carpet and have only just noticed. I would say it has been there at least a week.

I spilled a quart of cooking oil on my beige carpet. I soaked up as much as I could with a clean towel, then I steam cleaned it with my Bissell. Much to my amazement, it all came up. Good luck.
