Did you tip the mower on it's side? Is the oil level in the crankcase too high? Check the oil level, if it is too high drain some out. Check the air filter for oil. If the paper filter has oil on it replace it. Lawnmower tries to start, smoke, oil %26amp; gas coming from the exhaust. How can i fix this problem?
Take off the air cleaner and see if it starts. If it does then you need to clean the foam filter with some dishwahing liquid or ammonia dry by wringing out in a dry old towel and apply a film of motor oil on it.
If it's not that then check the spark plug.
