How hard could it be to fix a burning oil problem in an eclipse gsx?

Mitsubishi's are notorious for burning oil and smoking. I would advise you to take the car to a mechanic experienced in working on japanese vehicles. It will probably involve valve seals or perhaps the timing case depending on wether it is sealed or not. This could be very costly if the mechanic is not familiar with these motors and is simply guessing at what the problem is.How hard could it be to fix a burning oil problem in an eclipse gsx?
