Sable with a 3.6L engine? Sables do not have 3.6L engines. So after you change the filter on something you don't have maybe that will take care of the leak.How to fix a mercury sable, transmission oil leak?
agree with SVo man, but usually depending upon where the leak is and how severe, we usually start recommending rebuild at that time... as if the transmission has to come out (which is about 8-10 hours if I remember), it isn't much more than a few hundred more to basically rebuild it at most mechanic shops..
Put in a new gasket or O ring
