My car is leaking hydraulic oil, is that bad and how can I fix it? Is it expensive to fix?

Very bad, no suspension or power steering. A garage could fix this with a new hose in a morning. My car is leaking hydraulic oil, is that bad and how can I fix it? Is it expensive to fix?
posibbly brakes steering or engine oil. The leak is most likely to come from pipes or the case of engine oil pumps, sump plug, oil filter and connections to the engine ...like head gasket not very expensive to fix..if you know where to get the parts from.. i suggest mill auto motor factors ..there website is http://www.millautosupplies.co.uk/index.htmlMy car is leaking hydraulic oil, is that bad and how can I fix it? depends from where its leaking

it could be a simple gasket or seal thats gone and could cost a few tens of pounds, it could be a major component thats cracked or broken and cost hundreds, possibly thousand plus

in any event get it fixed soon hydraulics are used in braking, steering, gearbox and some other systems. the really scary ones are braking %26amp; steering systems. you defiantely do not want to drive a car with a hydraulic leak if it affects those.

if its a Citroen you have the added ';benefit'; of suspension systems. reapirs to citroens steering or suspension systems can be horrendous.

unless you are a competant mechanic then get it to a garage as soon as possible
It might be a minor matter but has the potential to be very serious and dangerous - get it fixed by a competent garage - do not try this at home!
Chances are it's brake fluid. Brake fluid is the same color as hydraulic fluid. Yes, it is bad...very bad. Have it repaired by a mechanic, someone that is familiar with brake systems. Most likely it is a brake line $30-$150 or brake hose $50-$60.
if its red its your tranny and it may just need a new gasket.
clean up the oil first so you can see where is it leaking from and check the level of the oil see if you fix it yourself if it just needs tightening
Might be brake fluid, check it out.
Try to find the source of the leak and then see if it's something you can fix yourself i.e. tightening a nut, bolt or line of somesort. If it's beyond your capability then take it to a shop.
hydraulic fluid

seems like brake trouble could be pipe or master cylinder check to see were about it is leaking get it fixed asap dont forget to bleed the brakes if you do the job yourself
It could be very bad if going down hill, but not as bad if going up hill. Unless you start to roll back then it could be even worse than very bad.
