Hi what you need is plastic metal . most good motor parts shops do it

make sure all area is clean and free of oil wash off with thinners rub with emery paper to give good bond

Mix and apply leave for 24 hours file or sand smooth .

Spray with little ally paint .

Certainly welding is the best way, but - DO NOT attempt it without removing the pan, and getting ALL the oil off things. To not remove the pan invites an explosion, not get all the oil off, a fire. Has been many an engine destroyed by some guy trying to repair it and not knowing what he was about.

Best repair on bike, is to wash clean with a solvent, carb cleaner, or such, V the crack out a bit, and fill with a good epoxy, JB Weld, PC-%26amp;, or such. Best NOT to use one of the quick set types. Then, a second application, cover an area an inch or so each side of the crack. Let cure overnight before riding.

I have successfully repaired maladies like you describe on sumps and gearboxes before with ';jb weld';....it's good sh!t.
you may be able to get it welded up it depends on the metal and the access to the split it might be cheaper than a new block.
get some jb weld, or even get someone to touch it up with an aluminum welder, no need to buy a new engine over that...
trade it in to some dummy of a dealer before it gets worse. meanwhile stick some gum on it so it does not show.
