On my 91 Honda Civic DX sedan antifreeze is somehow leaking into the oil crank case. How do I fix this?

The antifreeze somehow gets into the oil and burns off creating a white smoke which billows from the exhaust pipe. Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? The smoke smells like antifreeze and that's how I know, also the oil turned like a milky tan color. On my 91 Honda Civic DX sedan antifreeze is somehow leaking into the oil crank case. It sound like your headgasket. Consider getting an engine swap to a low mileage engine from Japan. Find out what a headgasket replacement will cost. It might be worth it to just get a used engine with 35,000-40,000 miles on it instead. The warranty will be the same and I'm assuming you have high miles on the car. If so, you're replacing the head gasket on a fairly worn engine- even if it runs well. You can have a newer engine for around what most headgasket replacements cost from a mechanic and you will have more get up and go too. if you need advice on places, do an online search on used Japanese engines. There are tons of places that sell them. The one I've used (and had a great experience with) in the past is CNS Motors here in Southern California but there are lots of others. Good luck.On my 91 Honda Civic DX sedan antifreeze is somehow leaking into the oil crank case. How do I fix this?
you most likely had a blown head gasket or worse a cracked head. this would explain why coolant is getting into the cylinders and burning off as white smoke as well as making the oil milky. The only way i know of to fix it is to take off the cylinder heads and check for cracks and replace the gaskets.
pressure test the cooling system, compression test the motor if u want proof

sorry but u have a blown head gasket(motor has to come apart or junk yard stuff but if u do change the gasket by your self (which if u dont know whats wrong with your car umm good luck) bring the heads to a machine shop to be checked
