Do products like bars leak really work to fix leaks such as an oil pan gasket leak?

bars leak is for the radiator and all that stuff does is plug you cooling system and heater core up. There is nothing on the market that will fix an oil pan leak excect replacing the oil pan gasket.Do products like bars leak really work to fix leaks such as an oil pan gasket leak?
Bars leak may be a radiator product but I know what you refer. They will slow the leaking for a while. They also increase the viscosity of yuor oil, if your in a cold climate may make your car not start.Do products like bars leak really work to fix leaks such as an oil pan gasket leak?
no it doesn't. take the pan off and clean it. then get a new gasket or use a tube of gasket sealant. works really good.
bars leak is generally used in raditors for small pin hole leaks...an oil pan gasket is cheap..lesss than $10...and depending on car type VERY easy to replace
Those products are just band-aids at best. It's always better to do the actual repair and be done with it.
Just repair /replace the gasket.
