How to fix crack in a gearbox (oil filling plug is cracked)?

Ok so I brought a 2.8 l d hilux cheap (here in australia) but its got a crack around the oil filling plug hole on the gearbox some person over tightened it Im guessing and theres a slight crack and hence oil leak . Im really looking for a cheapish fix which preferably doesnt involve removing the gearbox .How to fix crack in a gearbox (oil filling plug is cracked)?
If it is right at the oil plug, use a rubber o-ring type gasket, or even a large flat teflon washer. If the crack is further than a gasket can seal, drain it, let it sit overnight to be sure it is drained, clean the area with a degreaser completely, then use what others have suggested, JB Weld, epoxy, that type thing. Just keep in mind, those sealers can't bond to an oily surface. How to fix crack in a gearbox (oil filling plug is cracked)?
jb weld or they also make putties that work just as well
Silicone,caulking addhiesive,plastic weld or ductape.
