How much will it cost to fix a transmission and an oil leak on a chrysler concorde lxi?

I'm in south florida. How much will it cost to fix a transmission and an oil leak on a chrysler concorde lxi?
If its an oil pan leak that would run you mostly in labour fees about 2 hrs or more depending on the shop but I'd bring the oil gasket with me for it.If you call around you might be able to pick up the gasket quite cheap and find a shop just willing to do the labour for a flat fee and you could even bring your own oil too.

Plus if its only a oil pan leak you could add some stop oil leak product to the next oil change and if it's the rocker covers leaking you could be looking at about 3 hrs or more in labour fees.

The transmission has a leak where exactly by the front near the transmission pump? If so that will cost many hrs in labour and you'll need to replace all the seals in the transmission some might do it from 450.00 to 800 bucks but 800 is the real high end and I don't recommend spending it on that vehicle. It might be better to get a good warrantied used or rebuilt transmission installed instead or try a stop leak product on the transmission too.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way it really pays to shop around and get more then just one quote or opinion, plus take note that those engines screens inside tend to gunk up so it might be a good idea to use some STP oil flush on that engine too.How much will it cost to fix a transmission and an oil leak on a chrysler concorde lxi?
You're quite welcome Report Abuse

It really depends on what the problem is. The best bet is to take it in and have it looked at. It is almost impossible for someone to give you even a good educated guess without knowing the symptoms and not even seeing the car. Where is the oil leak coming from? and I don't mean where is it dripping from, I mean exactly where is the oil coming out? What is the transmission doing to make you believe that it needs to be serviced? When was it last serviced? What size motor and transmission is in the car? These are things the mechanic will need to know. The mechanic can usually answer all these questions himself/herself if they have the car right in front of them so they can look at it. Any answer you get here is just going to be a guess, although it may be an educated guess it will still be just a guess. You should really take it in and have it looked at before the problem gets worse. Some places will give you a free estimate on the repairs and others with probably charge you a flat hourly rate to take a look at it. In other words if the shop rate is $60.00 and it takes thirty minutes to find the problems then they will charge you $30.00 for looking at it then they will usually tell you exactly whats wrong and how much it will cost to get it fixed. GOOD LUCK!!
call around. call a dealership. maybe 2700.00 maybe 1200.00
